I'm seeing screen re-draw lag on my Moto X Pure Edition

Anyone getting home screen redraw? I've gotten it a few times when I unlock the device ... Sometimes it'll take .5-1 second to populate the icons & widgets.

This is the best way to describe the issue I have with my LG G3. Hoping not with my incoming X.

It's certainly not something I encounter often. Maybe two or three times that I noticed since I've had it (last Friday afternoon)

That would be very lame on a new device with 3GB of ram. Not even 2GB. A 1GB device, okay.

It's not that bad. It happens infrequently (perhaps my previous comment about "all the time" was a bit much) and it's very quick. No reason not to get the phone. I love mine. Anyone have questions? (not to get off the topic of the thread)

Mine just arrived today - A DAY EARLY - and I will watch for it also. At work so it is sitting in a box at home! :'(

I wonder if it has something to do with certain apps that people are installing and using that others are not?

A general rule to thumb is to not make any judgements on battery or performance until you have had a new phone a week. During the first couple of days, the OS is doing lots of background tasks and randomness will happen.

Also, the OCCASIONAL redraw is not unusual. The OS delicides that something other than the launcher is more important and bumps the launcher out of ram. Different manufacturers will set this threshold differently.

I'm using Nova launcher and have not seen a re-draw in the 5 days I've had the phone.

It happens in general. In fact, I've seen this on every Android phone I've owned. MUCH MUCH less frequently now, like once in a blue... Using Widgets is normally the cause.

Yes, I've seen it. It usually happens when i use moto display to unlock and I have an app open (instead of unlocking to the home screen). Doesn't happen every time but I am really hoping that Motorola releases a bug fix update for this phone. Performance is good, but coming from a nexus 5, I know it can be better.
