Im seriously considering this device. Need input

I know the A7 is unlocked and will definitely work with T-mobile. If I put in a project fi sim card, it should work on T-mobile? I will assume that it won't switch from carrier to carrier to wifi though. Please help here also would like to know your true feelings.
