What exactly isn't staying on? The screen? This depends on the app you're using. The phone's screen will not remain on while plugged in unless the app requests it or if you have the option enabled in the Developer Options in your Settings (which you have to enable on your device).

Thank you, spook droid for your reply. I'm using seecitv. The phone turns off/ goes to android power screen. In the dev app, what would i ennable.. Thanks

So the phone is shutting off or rebooting? If so maybe it's drawing more power than what it is charging so it runs out of juice. Or the app is buggy and causing the system to crash (in which case you'd need to submit the bug to the dev).

If you've enabled Developer Options in your device, there should be a Keep Screen On option so that the screen stays on while charging.
