Image retention HTC One M8., can I get some help?

Image retention htc one m8

I sent my phone away for repair via carphone warehouse who i bought my handset from and they returned it within a week saying it was fixed, however once I had got home and looked at the phone properly it still had the same issue I sent it off for. I've spoken to carphone warehouse , Htc and O2 ( tariff provider) and they've all said the same thing, that it has to be sent off to be looked at again which I'm not happy about. Has anyone had this problem , where there is like a ghost image of icons in the background of the screen and they won't disappear, sometimes they do then they come back again. Can someone advise me if I will need to send it off again or is there a way to just get a new handset.

Welcome to Android Central! Do they show up if you take a screenshot? If so, show us: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...ide-how-post-screenshots-android-central.html. If they don't show up in a screenshot, then use another camera to take a picture of the screen, and post that.

It could just be screen burn-in, which can happen if the screen is on for a while showing the same image. The only way to get rid of that is to replace the screen.
