IMAP emails not deleting off S6 when deleted from desktop

Hi Guys

I have just change from iPhone 5 to a Samsung S6 and have set up a IMAP email account on the S6, if I read a email on my Mac it shows up as read on the S6 but if I delete the email on my Mac if does not delete from the S6, how ever if I delete the email from my S6 it deletes it on the mac.

Check the sync time you have set on the email app. It should be set off. (That syncs in real time.)

The sync schedule is set to "Auto (when received)" and the period to sync email is "3 days" I have changed these settings around but it does not help.
