IMEI shows wrong device should I be worried

I have and 128 gig model purchased from Verizon and was having an issue activating project fi on my Pixel 2XL upon calling Google and providing them my IMEI I was told is show for a black and white 64 gig model but I have an 128 all black model the rep along with a tech was able to get project Fi up and going I'm just wondering if this is something I should be worried about especially if I ever have to file a warranty claim as I'm seeing what everyone is calling screen burn in on my phone already
 
More garbage quality control from Google. So glad we ditched the Nexus line for this failure.
 
I would think that could potentially be a problem as they may try to replace it based on your imei. I would definitely keep up with the receipt so you can have proof of what device you have. I wonder if the rep was just mistaken. That's odd.
 
Yeah I scanned my receipt into Google drive and drop box I also took photos of the tag on the box showing the IME and the phone details ....the rep had his team lead and a tech look at it to confirm that info was showing and I read the IME to him several times
