Import SMS/MMS history into Hangouts?

The big difference is that MyBackup Pro can back up MMS as well as SMS messages. The other app, SMS Backup & Restore, does SMS only.

Wish I knew this yesterday. I thought it couldn't be done.

Thanks, clearing Hangouts data and doing a phone restart brought my SMS messages into Hangouts

What worked for me was to go into my phone's setting and set the default SMS app to MyBackup Pro. Then I restored from MyBackup Pro. I then set the default SMS app back to Hangouts. I "think" MyBackup Pro should do that in the background when restoring SMS, but if I recall correctly, it didn't work. I had to manually set the default SMS app.

Also, if your message still don't appear, try going into Hangouts's settings, then SMS settings and choose import SMS messages.

Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Hangouts and hit the Clear Data button. Restart your phone, then open Hangouts again. Everything should appear.
