In airplane mode & may have accidentally "sent" a picture to someone - need a way to stop it

I was trying to edit a picture but accidentally hit the share option instead. I was never promoted to choose the recipient but for some reason I still received the message that it would be sent when I was back in my service area. I have no Pending/Sending messages. Was this just an error? It's a NSFW picture and I cannot chance that it will be sent to anyone.

Power down the phone. Remove the Sim. Open the app. Delete the message.
