In-Call Volume Shows Even When Call Disconnects

I am having this issue that is listed below. I notice this happens after a Facebook messenger video chat or Google Duo video chat. It is really frustrating. Can anyone help? It messes with my notification volumes and everything else.

Can you clarify -- are you saying that even after the call is finished and you go to listen to some media, the volume buttons only control the In Call Volume? Or are you trying to listen to some media while also on a call?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? So if you reboot the phone, and before you do any video chats, does the Volume button control Media by default?
