I'd like to have mine before the holiday as well. It'll be nice to play around with it while being home for the holidays.

My buddy works at Verizon and said they had a meeting about the phone w/no bloatware on it. He said they will be getting the nexus the week of thanksgiving. I don't think they would have a sales metting if it was only gona b sold on the net.

After calling 3 stores I finally found the one that is closest to Cincinnati children's hospital, but they are unable to allow me to have the device shipped there.

I may get the vigor just to brag about it for a week then exchange it for the nexus. I hope the screen on the nexus is way better than the vigor. The vigor in my opinion has potential.

The vigor looks like a great device and is already getting lots of developer love. I think it is a great time to be a verizon customer with these 3 phones coming out in such a short amount of time.

After calling 3 stores I finally found the one that is closest to Cincinnati children's hospital, but they are unable to allow me to have the device shipped there.

When I need to have something shipped somewhere I do not have a residence, I usually ship it to a FedEx or UPS Store depending on the carrier. They'll sign and accept the package and you show up with your ID to claim it. Has worked for me in the past on multiple occasions. Hope this helps.

yea, I think Id rather buy online. Today I go into a Verizon store and ask about the Galaxy Nexus and the sales guy asks me if its made by Motorola.....lol When I tell him no he said he doesn't know anything about it. Its nice to see these people keep up with their products

Does the package need to be signed for with online orders? That is a real hassle for me due to my work schedule or lack of schedule I should say.....

I ordered my last 2 phones from Verizon online the day they first became available and I had to sign for both. The good thing is Verizon usually gives free next day shipping. At least I got it on my last 2 phones, not sure if they still do that. I think I remember 1 phone even being delivered on Saturday. One of the shipping companies has a form you can print out, sign, and stick on your door and they will leave the package, but I don't remember if it was FedEx or UPS. FedEx will deliver the package to any FedEx location and hold it. I had a package delivered to one close to where I work and picked it up during my lunch.

I have the same problem but it's the Razr calling me.

Additional comment: The only problem I have with online ordering the 17th is that is the day of my son's spinal fusion surgery. Since I am not sure exactly where we are staying at (Ronald McDonald House, or a motel) I really cant give them a shipping address. No one will be at home from the 16th till at least the following Saturday.

I wonder if i can have it shipped to a local VZW store close to the hospital and pick it up there.

FWIW, I am a regular guy and a contractor and was doing work in a building with a large Verizon Wireless presence. I was talking to some folks as part of my normal job. I ran into two different sales executives. They were going out of their minds getting ready for tomorrow release of the Razr. They asked me if I was going to get one. I told them no, that I was holding out for the GN. They looked at me like they were the pope and I had pooped in St. Peter's Basillica. They were tight lipped about the GN and both got dowdy looks on their faces when I mentioned it. I don't know what that means. However I'm going back on site tomorrow and Monday and will try to see if I can use my charms to weasel some more information. Don't hold your breath but it can't hurt to try.

They probably get more $$ if they sell more razr's so that's why they are pushing that so hard and are giving the nexus the silent treatment.
