In the last week the tablets we use have a Google Play error rpc:s-7:aec-o message, how can I fix it?

in the last week the tablets we use have a google play error rpc:s-7:aec-o message

these units have worked fine for eight months however last week all units experienced a google talk authentication failed message followed by this google play error retrieving information from the server and the code RPC:S-7:AEC-0. Tried all online suggestions clear cache and data and restart etc no good. the account works on other tablets of a different type but no account works on these. we have new boxed spare units and these are the same
