In Windows, files on my Android are always listed as music tracks; is there any way to change this?

I've noticed that whenever I connect my Android phone, currently a Galaxy S8, to my PC, and use Windows Explorer on it, files are ALWAYS listed as music tracks. The available columns are always, and only, the ones associated with recorded music, e.g. duration, year recorded, and stars rated, genre, and contributing artists, etc.

If I'm working with a folder of JPG files or .docx files they are still listed as music tracks. I have never found a way to fix this, and it has been the same on across all the PCs, and all the Android handsets I've had. Changing the display properties of the folder isn't an option, because the tab where you would do this on a local folder is missing when you explore the Android device.

So I'm curious: Is this flaw or a design feature? And how can I fix it?

In Windows File Explorer, you can temporarily change the columns displayed by either
- right-click on any of the column headers
- from the menu /view/add columns/

There is no way to permanently change it. It seems to be a design flaw in the phone interface.
