Inaudible sound when waking up phone (post Oreo)

I connect via Bluetooth to my car and I'm used to notifications or even plugging in the charger cutting out my music from the car stereo but after Oreo I noticed that every time I wake up my phone it makes my stereo go silent for a second. It's as if my phone is making a wake up sound but there's no sound. It's pretty annoying.

You may actually have a notification sound set to silent. Mine had several silent notification settings on different things for some reason.

How would that make my car speakers mute for a second every time I wake up my phone?

Maybe I'm not explaining this properly. This problem isn't about notifications. If I get a text the car speakers play my notification tone. If I plug in my charger the car speakers mute and the little chime for plugging in the charger plays (from my phone I think) Nevertheless when my phone makes a sound that isnt music it stops the music coming from my car speakers for a moment while the sound plays. It's annoying that it cuts out my music, but I expect it and am OK with it because I have chosen to hear these sounds. My problem and reason for this post is my music cutting out when I wake up my phone. It's not the unlock sound (I have that turned off) because SmartLock keeps it unlocked when connected to my car's bluetooth. It's only when I wake it up by pressing the button or home button on AOD. There is no sound that I can hear but it's cutting off my car speaker music as if it was playing a sound (like the notifications do) but even when not connected there is no audible sound. There is also nothing in the settings that addresses this sound or non-sound. This only started after updating to 8.0 Oreo. The only thing left is to Factory Reset which I was hoping to avoid.

If no one else has experienced this it might be an issue unique to my device.

Go into Settings and then Advanced Features and see if you have Smart Alert turned on. If you have a missed notifications for phone or messages, it will vibrate when you pick it up. This is probably not your issue, as it's just supposed to vibrate, but I can't think of anything else that may interrupt when you wake up your phone like that.

It's not that

The OS should know when any given notification is set to be silent, and then NOT mute media playback for those "silent notifications". If it used to work that way, but has changed with Oreo, I consider that to be a bug. I have not tested this on my phone yet, but I can see how it would be annoying.

It's specifically when my phone is connected via Bluetooth but not playing media. If my car radio is on and I wake up my phone it mutes the radio for a second.

Not that anyone cares anymore but this was fixed with the Pie update. So it was a problem.
