Android Central Question

Hi, I'm searching for a replacement for an expensive paid system where customers are welcomed with a voice-message, and then after I get the call.
In this system I can also set opening hours, so the system just plays a "we're closed now" if customers call outside of the operating hours.

Therefore I'm searching for an app which can do something like this - does it exist?

Welcome to Android Central.

Initially I was thinking Tasker might be able to do this but I'm not sure it has all of the tools needed to do this. I found some Reddit threads that mention it or alternatives to this ability so the answer may be out there but to be honest I don't get paid to research for other people so I'll leave it at, Tasker is a possibility you'll just have to research how to make the profile.

My next thought was Google Voice. Back in the day it used to be really good and do all kinds of tricks and backflips but these days it's pretty basic. There might be some advantages and it might be able to do what you want with the help of Tasker. Yeah I circled back to that. LOL. Anyway Voice will give you a phone number that you can call and text from. Voice also allows you to set this number as your voicemail where you can record any out going message you would like, voicemail is like visual voicemail where everything is transcribed.

So with Tasker you can set in-coming calls M-F 07:00 to 17:00 as a condition. Those calls go to Google Voice and get that VM greeting and goes to that VM for delivery. Your phone would still ring if you wanted it to defined by the actions assigned to profile. Calls outside of those conditions could be directed your AT&T or Verizon VM, again set by the Tasker profile you create, where callers would get a different message, and of course your phone would ring for this also. Tasker is an automation app that cost at the Play Store. Last I checked it was less than 4 bucks. Google Voice is free. There is a learning curve to making Tasker Profiles but there is a lot of online help for Tasker. There is tasker.wiki online, a Tasker thread here at AC, a few threads at Reddit and several other places online. Of course you have to do all of the setup yourself but maybe for a $4 buy-in it would be worth it.
