Incoming upgrade

So my upgrade date just passed, and I had been waiting for the Bionic before I just grabbed whatever was out there. Wasn't really impressed with anything HTC pumped out recently, or anyone else for that matter. After reading an article about how infrequently most companies (baring HTC and Moto) update the OS on their phones I was a bit hesitant to go with one of those devices. Especially considering I am currently using a Blackberry Tour and the biggest problem I find with it, is that they only really had one big upgrade for the phone during it's rein.

I was just curious if I should wait for the Bionic, get something else, or wait even longer for something else? Thanks

Besides Vanilla Android devices, Motorola gets updates pretty quick IMO.

As I understand it, Moto and HTC are the top two with I believe Samsung tailing behind at about 50% slower than Moto. My main question was since Google and Samsung seem to be coming out with new phones some time soon, how far away are they, what are they, and should I wait?
