Increase screen timeout when connected to car

When I have my S6 connected via usb to my JVC KW-830BT, the screen will timeout and go black after less than 10 seconds of inactivity. If I pause to read the screen or think of what I want to say during an email or text, it blacks out. I have the display timeout on the S6 set to 5 min.
BTW, before anyone says I shouldn't be doing anything while driving, I'm not. This is when I am parked, listening to radio and using phone.

Set the USB Debugging option in Settings to Stay awake. That way the screen will never time out when it's powered. Either manually turn it off with the power button or you can install an app like Smart Screen On Off (I have it set to use the proximity detector, so a wave turns the screen on, another wave turns it off).

Or you could use Tasker to change the screen timeout based on the foreground app.
