Increase zoom on 6 pro?

Hey guys , frustrated here. Came from a long stretch of Samsung phones and never had this issue. When using the Gmail app for my emails , when I pinch to zoom , is there any way to zoom right in? I'm finding when trying to zoom into a screen shot or something in email, it just stops zooming in at a set level vs my previous samsungs where I could zoom into a single letter if I wanted to. Any way to change this anywhere , anyhow ? Hard to explain exactly what I mean it hopefully someone knows. Thanks

Anyone else experience this? Seems like the camera app should be able to go all the way to 20x zoom on video as well if Snapchat can do it.

FYI, the OP was referring to the ability to zoom in on or magnify text or an image in an app by using a pinch-to-zoom gesture, not zooming in while using the Camera app.
