Incredible battery life

It's entirely subjective, but yes I consider my Note 2 superior to many phones including the Nexus 4. Why? Bigger 5.5" screen, S-Pen, 3100mAh user-replaceable battery (fully charged spare always ready to go at a moments notice), better battery life; average 5-6 hours screen on time or up to 4 days total run-time during light use (all when on Verizon's LTE, no Wi-Fi ever). And it works on the best cell carrier where I live/work and travel. :)

Good for you. Opinions are like a$$holes;) I had the option to buy a note 2 for next to nothing when I owned a LTE gnex and SGS3. So I bought it and pretty much just let it collect dust for a few days. Nice enough hardware, but can't stand Twhiz (pretty much immediately decided it was gone so no hacking) and it felt ridiculous to use as a phone (espically to pull out of tighter suit pants and use in a business meeting). So I sold it to a friend for a modest profit along with my other Sammys to upgrade to a N4 and pocket a bunch of cash. She thinks it's a perfect "purse-sized tablet" and the S Pen really stepped up her Draw with Friends skills. Haha. To each their own.

I couldnt help but laugh when I read this..... You really consider all this superior? Really? First off bigger is not always better, I guarantee you dont look as cool as the rest of us holding that huge tablet up to your ear holding a conversation. Two, S Pen, seriously? Its a stylus bro, call it what it is and using a stylus has never been cool. Three, if your battery is so awesome why do you need to remove it and why do you need two? And last, best carrier, this is a joke right? By best you mean best at nickle and diming you to death and charging twice what the phone is worth and twice what their service is worth? The Nexus 4 is far superior to your phablet any and every day of the week.

LOL Yes I do consider those things superior. But like I said it's subjective. Others are not going to agree. No problem with that. :) But to quickly address some of your comments/questions:

- Bigger is better for me. I can never go back to anything smaller than a 5.5" screen now. Not willing to give up that screen real estate. Anything smaller feels like a toy now.
- Too much is made of the size of the phone IMO. It's quite comfortable in hand and easy to hold to your ear for any duration. And whether it looks cool? Entirely subjective. But frankly I don't care what anyone thinks about how it looks anyway. Besides, it's not like anyone has ever said anything to me about it or even given me any kind of odd look when using it up to my ear. :)
- S-Pen is NOT a stylus. It utilizes Wacom technology that provides a ton of functionality beyond what a stylus ever did. I don't always use it, but it's an awesome feature to have when I do.
- I have an extra battery not because of poor battery life, but so I have the OPTION of swapping out for a fully charged spare on the fly anytime and never needing to tether the phone to a charge. That is invaluable to me!
- Verizon is the best carrier for me. They provide the best overall coverage (including LTE) where I live/work and travel. And I still have unlimited data with a total monthly bill of $65 (with employee discount, $75 without). I'd be crazy to leave and go somewhere else. :)

Thanks. Yah, the Note 2 is not for everyone. I have a Nexus 7 and actually prefer Touch Wiz over vanilla Android. It has so many little features packed into it, many of which you can't get/duplicate even via third party apps. Anyway, I better stop. Sorry to highjack the thread. It's good to hear that the newer software is helping with the Nexus 4 battery life. That's always a good thing regardless of what phone you prefer. :)

The unlimited data is the main thing. If you were on one the family share plans I would say you were delusional. If I had unlimited data, I would have never left Verizon. Fastest speeds in my area.

Verizon has unlimited data with no throttling?

Not sure if that's sarcastic or not but yes if your grandfathered in you won't be throttled.

If you're a new customer, no they don't have unlimited anymore. But if you're an existing customer (like me), you can keep your unlimited data (grandfather it in) by either paying full retail for a new phone or bring your own Verizon supported phone you bought somewhere else. Also, Verizon does NOT throttle LTE, only 3G. See below for specifics:

Network Optimization

Only a small percent of customers will be affected. To be affected, you must be:

?A data customer on an unlimited data plan;
?Have a 3G Verizon Wireless device (if you have a 4G LTE device you will not be impacted); and
?Among the top 5% of data users in a given month.
Then, you will only be affected:

?When you are on the 3G network; and
?When you are connected to a congested cell site.

Im talking about the battery life on the Note2 being superior to that of any smartphone on the market. This is a fact that can't be up for dispute. 3400 MAH beats 2000 MAH all day every day. It amazes me every time someone over states battery life on their phone. SMH

Superior? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaha
Wait you were joking about the Note 2 being superior to theN4 right?

Compared to my old phone, a Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro, my Nexus has an awesome battery life! I like to keep it topped up, but I've never been in the red zone, even while gaming.

My Xperia would need a full charge every day, even with minimal use. 8'I
