Incredible in stock at Amazon!

Thanks for the tip. Incredible ordered with an ETA of June 15th.

Sure beats waiting!

I placed orders with both Amazon, and Verizon on-line on 6/5, I'm tracking my incredible to be delivered to me today 6/10! I love Amazon! I cancelled my Verizon on-line order yesterday, and guy said they can NOT cancel the order, ONLY the so called supervisor could, so he told me he would do a follow up on the cancelation?? I'm not worried I just can't wait to get my incredible today from Amazon!!

Is this normal:

I got the order confirmation from Amazon with the "delivery estimate" of 6/15 (I ordered in the wee morning hours of 6/10). The next email from Amazon confirmed my Verizon Wireless activation and even gave me my phone number. The email stated the following: "We have been notified by Verizon Wireless that the wireless phone you recently ordered has been activated. If it has not shipped already, your phone will ship shortly; when it does, you will receive an e-mail confirming the date, contents, and method of shipment." (Boldface mine.)

Since then, I've received two emails from Verizon about setting up my phone but haven't received a shipment email. I suppose it could ship tomorrow and still get here on the 15th via two-day, but I would think I'd have gotten an email by now.

Worried for nothing?

Did you get the Incredible in the timeframe estimated by Amazon?

Call Amazon to have them track the order. I bought mine through Amazon and had a delivery estimate of June 8 - June 20! But the delivery date was actually June 6 when I called. Their online system sucks when they rely on third party people shipping. If your device shipped, they can track it down and tell you where it is. If it has not shipped, they can get a hold of Verizon and see what's going on but you may have to wait until Monday to do so.

This is normal. I think the Verizon setup is a separate process from the shipping notifications, so one system doesn't know the status of the other, if that makes sense. I think the phone number email is the first step in Amazon transmitting your info to Verizon, which triggers Verizon to send you the setup emails. I got the same series of emails, except my phone number email came just a few hours apart from my shipping notice.

I almost wonder if this means they are packing your order. When I got my box, there was a slip of paper in the bottom with activation information, and there was a barcode on the bottom. If they scan that as they pack to trigger the phone number and setup emails for Verizon, then it makes sense that you would get the phone number email before the shipping notification, since today is Sunday. If they are shipping 2nd day, it's gotta go UPS or FedEx, and they don't pick up on Sunday. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I'm sure this is likely the case. It makes sense.

Also: I ordered 6/5 at 11:55pm, was originally quoted 6/22 delivery, then got an email saying it would ship sooner on 6/11, then it actually shipped 6/9. Amazon has got this shipping thing down.

I ordered mine from Amazon on Wednesday morning, and they originally told me it would ship on Thursday get here on Monday. However, they shipped it Wednesday afternoon and it was here on Friday afternoon.

So they shipped it out faster than they told me it would.

While I'm happy Amazon had the Incredible in stock (as opposed to all Verizon Wireless retail stores in town who were quoting an end-of-the-month arrival), I can hardly call this two-day shipping:

Date Time Location Event Details
June 12, 2010 04:06:00 AM Portland OR US Arrival Scan
June 12, 2010 02:40:00 AM Oakland CA US Departure Scan
June 11, 2010 05:15:00 PM Oakland CA US Arrival Scan
June 11, 2010 03:33:00 PM Memphis TN US Departure Scan
June 11, 2010 05:35:00 AM Memphis TN US Arrival Scan
June 10, 2010 10:58:00 PM Indianapolis IN US Departure Scan
June 10, 2010 07:59:00 PM Indianapolis IN US Shipment received by carrier
June 10, 2010 05:08:23 PM --- Shipment has left seller facility and is in transit

I can see at least two days where the item was just sitting in a warehouse! Anyway, Tuesday the 15th is the delivery date. I'll be waiting!

2 day shipping doesn't count weekends - it's 2 business day shipping. Kinda surprised though that it wouldn't be there today if shipped on Thursday - UPS is usually pretty good about hitting their targets on 2 day shipping.

Are you sure it won't be there today? My first notification from Amazon said it would be here today, but the shipping notification said it would be here last Friday and it was. It seems to depend on how much time it takes them to process the order.

Yeah... it's in stock when you select "Buy with a new service plan" BUT Out Of Stock when you select "Buy with a contract extension (upgrade)".

What BS!

It does say that in the upper right, but in the middle of the screen it says "Availability:In stock on July 3, 2010 ".

There's a phone number on the page to call for help - you could always call them and ask about the discrepancy.

Anyone else see the date keeps getting pushed back a day? It was the 3rd. Yesterday it said the 4th. Today it's the 5th. While I didn't expect any shipments to arrive on the 4th of July, wonder what gives? Are they stalling?

No idea, but my guess would be that nothing is happening over the holiday weekend and that some automated process is accounting for that by changing the availability date. I suspect that the earliest the availability would change would be tomorrow depending on if amazon takes the 5th off or not.

You could always go to the customer service link though and give them a call/send them an email to find out the real scoop - there's probably at least a decent chance that someone would be there to answer your call even today.

Ordered one for my daughter using her upgrade on 7/7 and got it today at 1:35PM. We have a family plan it was easy to order with no change in my plan.

Can you have your verizon account charged for the phone instead of one's CC through amazon? Also, if I get a phone from here, I can insure it as well right?
