Incredible Loses Top Spot to EVO

Yea definitely Verizon network FTW! I'm still waiting for my DInc to show up. Ordered on 5/26. Supposed to be here on the 17th.

Posting to get us back on top.

Ramping up supply will help the cause. Are the INC delays mainly due to the amoled screen supply which does not affect the EVO or is there something else going on? Other than the screen type, they are similar products from the same manufacturer.

Ummmmm.... Maybe because the Incredible just plain works... and verizon network is solid. Really, I have no complaints other than the battery.... and I plan on upgrading to 1750 mAh battery this month.

Solid phone. Perfect form factor. Solid network. What more could you ask for?

Ok... root would be nice....

Agree. The phone is fantastic and on a solid network. What more could you ask for? Sure, the EVO MIGHT be better (screen size???), but it's on Sprint. The iPhone MIGHT be better, but on at&t (I don't actually think either are better [I think the EVO is comparable, though]). Incredible + Verizon = Checkmate.

I have the 1750 and I am happy as a clam, now. No worries.

You know, I was thinking. I am a proud Incredible owner, and I do not miss having a "front-facing" camera at all. Maybe the novelty will be great for some people to use, but when it eats up that battery (iPhone 4 and Evo users), most people will stay away from it and use it on rare occassions. Think "The Nintendo Wii". Most people only break that sucker out when we have guests and it's a fun party toy. Other times, it just sits and collects dust. I think that is a comparable analogy to some of these high-end features (video editing on your phone?)

Its the orders... No doubt about it. Sprint was smart, they had quite a bit of stock of the EVOs...

Plus,t he AMOLED screen slows down production... But it is worth it.

Exactly, that's a great way to think of it.

I can only imagine myself using the front camera to impress others (especially iPhone users) but never using it on a day-to-day basis. But yeah, that's exactly right.

That's why I have an Xbox 360! Oh, and I'm a thrilled BB Storm1 convert loving my DInc... ;-)

From what I hear, the battery life is worse in the Evo than the Inc... A front facing camera would be nice, but my Inc is by far the best phone I have ever had.

Now just give us some Froyo!!! :p

I was wondering why the Inc forum moved down a notch. Now I know. Perhaps they should be listed alphabetically, so they are always in the same spot, until a new model comes out.

..... I don't care. The DI is still a better device (IMHO, of course). ;)

Both are great devices. There are several things you can do on EVO that can't be done on Inc... 4G, front facing cam, bigger screen, etc.

I'm using EVO 4G Hotspot to my PS3 and can sustain >4Mbps to 7Mbps at home. Am able to stream Netflix HD with no rebuffering AND share other laptops getting over 3Mbps AND talk on phone at same time. Thinking of setting up Buffalo router as repeater and getting rid of cable modem. Can't do that with Inc.

Inc has crisper screen, slightly faster, etc.

They are both great in their own ways.

If the Evo was on Verizon I'd say it could be compared, but since it's not on the network that gets me the best stable coverage while I travel (and 3G coverage for that matter) I think the Incredible's still top dog for me.

When it comes down to device to device comparisons, the Evo's great. Too bad it's not on Verizon though.

^EVO can roam on Verizon and it roams on Alltel 3G areas. I travel all over the country and in obscure areas. Sprint is simply not an issue. Won't argue that VZW is probably better, but Sprint is good enough for most.

One thing you can now do with EVO is 4G data and talk on phone at same time. Obviously the 4G coverage is pretty small now (not in my area), about 44m coverage but it plans to hit 120m end of this year. VZW only plans to hit 100m 4G coverage end of year but not 4G phone til next year.

Don't want to get into carrier argument but Sprint doesn't really suck that much anymore. They are far better than 5 years ago, especially customer service.

i got my phone last week after a 2-3 week wait. im loving it so far. ive messed with a evo both at best buy and with my buddies. i prefer the screen on the inc, looks nicer. aside from that, i dont see anything great about the evo compared to the Inc. if i had sprint id have an evo but sprint sucks for me and my area so i will never use sprint again. Inc does everything i could ask of a phone
