Incredible Problem

So I have the BB Tour, and will be getting the Incredible the day it drops, or the next dayif I order online. So that being said, I want to sell my tour. Now as luck would have it I know someone that is interested in the Tour for $125. Which I got it for 99 after MIR the day it came out. So I think that it is a good deal for both parties as they dont have an upgrade for another 12 months.

The problem either I go back to a regular old cell phone or go to my old pearl. Im not excited about the idea of using the pearl 8130 for 5 weeks, plus whatever it takes for VZW to actually release the phone. (lets be honest The link was nice today, but not exactly a sure thing).

So what are your thoughts on what I should do. Sell it now, pocket the money for the incredible, Wait for a sure 100% true date for the incredible then sell, or wait for the phone to come out and hope I can get $125 for it still? What to do what to do?

yea, it's an incredible deal for the buyer.

if they want it for that price (and you're willing to part with it, i sold my tour on ebay for around $300) then make them wait until you have the incredible in hand before you sell. at that price, i have a feeling they'll be okay with waiting. :)

Really? I felt like 125 was a bit of a good deal for me. Its over a year old, and with the tour/bold coming out I figured the bottom would drop out of the phone price.

i mean, what you consider reasonable is a personal choice, i'm just letting you know that on avg an out of contract smartphone goes for substantially more.

(just for reference, i sold my storm 1 for about $250, my droid for about $400, and my eris for about $275)

timing is important, but you should be able to cover a new smartphone with the sale of an older one (provided it's not too old, i'd be surprised to get more than $150 MAX for a storm now)

the easiest way to get an average selling price of a phone is to search for it on ebay and look at the completed listings for it. it's what i usually do at least.
