Am just transitioning from a Blackberry to a Droid Razr Maxx. Is there an app out there to assign individual notification sounds to emails.....I only want to hear that certain people are e-mailing me.
As a former BlackBerry user I was in the same boat. The solution I found was a 3rd party app called Light Flow (Lite). Not perfect, but gives options for different notification colors and tones.
It's been reported that the volume stays on high when you use a docking station...and the phone goes to sleep...except for the tones assigned from this app.
Just downloaded Light Flow Lite...Can anyone give me a step-by-step direction on how to assign a specific song or sound to an email and/or text? I seem to going around in circles on this site.
Thanks for the GO SMS app.....
What I REALLY need is an app for notification sounds on individual emails...like the Blackberry has....hence the Light Flow Lite.....so I'm still trying to figure it out and can't even find user help on it!

Once you have that done, if this is a Gmail account, go on a computer and set up a label in Gmail for that contact (I don't see any way to add new labels from the Android Gmail app). Then go back to your phone, open Gmail, and click the Labels button on the bottom. Click the new label you just created to open it. Then click the menu button and select "Set Ringtone". Viola, you are all set!
