Hi All,
I have a Canadian Telus HTC One X, 16gb. I had been using it for months for music and phone calls in my 2012 Camry LE. The bluetooth audio sounds incredible. The song information never showed up on the touchscreen in the car, but that didn't bother me at all. The music sounded perfect and I was loving it (Camry has one of the best base stereos out there with 6 nice woofers standard).
I bought an HTC One X+ for my wife, 64gb. Given the bigger battery and flash memory, we decided to switch - I use my phone for my career, she doesn't. There are serious issues getting this HTC One X+ to work with my Camry, for no apparent reason. The info for songs shows up on the car touchscreen now, but the sound is ultra low quality. Distortion of high frequencies is so heavy that I can't listen to it.
Nothing I do fixes it. I checked and it has the exact same software level, bluetooth, etc.
I phoned HTC help and they had me do several things: delete application data/cache for the two Bluetooth programs, and then she sent me into the service mode to delete some other cache. I also deleted all the previous settings on both devices and tried to start fresh. Didn't fix it.
Is there a fix for this? Thanks.
