[INFO] Nexus 4 with t-mobile

Does Tmobile offer any insurance for the Nexus 4? Or would Square Trade be a better option?

I find that i get better coverage on the roads and highways on at&t. Tmobile switches to 2g so very often >.<
But that $30 plan is enticing!

I just notice that you must have a new Sim Card and activation kit (is already ordered).......I have a prepaid and I wanted to change over to this plan in 10 days.......But this is a NO GO. You must start clean and do everything from the beginning, that is why I don't see that option as I state before.

Ok, so now that makes sense. I was wondering if you already had an account/plan with TMobile, because the $30 Web special is clearly on their website. But if your wanting to switch to the $30 Web special plan, then it's time to lose everything and start over unfortunately.

Got my MicroSIM & activation kit yesterday so now just a waiting game till next Tuesday at 12:00:01 sec AM.... LOL... CAN"T FRIGGIN WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!

I went ahead and was able to buy the micro-sim kit for 99-cents. I'm planning on starting a value family plan on TM; I'm guessing this sim card will work for that (and not just for prepaid plans), right?

I feel you haha, I'm still sporting an LG Optimus V with Virgin Mobile. This is going to be a wonderful upgrade and it's going to save me $5 a month as well. :3

I'm not exactly sure about that, I don't know much about t-mobile. You can try to Google that, but it'd probably be easier and you'd get a better answer if you just called Customer Service.

I'm hoping to do the same thing. Ordered the prepaid sims already. Has anyone here used an unactivated new prepaid sim on a postpaid plan? Would love to know.

I called a TM store and asked. I didn't get a clear answer (dude was asking me all kinds of questions) but I think he did say that I could use the sim card I bought, but that there's an activation fee for all lines moving to a contract (that said, he offered to waive the fee for me).

Long time T-mobile customer here, prepaid and postpaid.

You can use any new SIM card with any prepaid or postpaid plan! They are the same.

Just make sure it's brand new and never activated and you're good to go!

P.S. Got my new micro SIM in the mail today from T-Mobile. All I need is my new Nexus 4! :D

That's exactly what I'm doing. 'cept it's costing me $5 a month since I'm currently grandparented in on the $25/mo. plan.

It needs to be a micro sim. You can only get a micro sim from the website with a contract. Call the Customer Support and ask them about a Micro SIM Card for $0.99 and it's turn out to be about $1.07

It takes a little hunting but the micro sim is available on the tmo site. Mine is in the mail right now.

Order the micro sim + activation kit from the website. There is no contract required - that's the point of prepaid, lol. It's also easy to find and has been directly linked at least once within this thread :)

I ordered mine the other day, came to $1.09 with tax, free shipping. You don't pay another dime until you stick it in the phone and activate it online, at which point you'll select the plan you want.

I've been with AT&T for almost 7 years and the only reason I stayed was because I was grandfathered into the unlimited plan. But paying $90 a month is ridiculous. Switching to this plan and using Groove IP will save me roughly $50 a month. Yay more booze money.

Although GrooveIP is awesome I have noticed that, in my area at least, latency on tmo's network has been pretty laggy making conversations very difficult. I plan to use voice minutes away from my home wifi. But I also had nearly 4000 rollover minutes when i was with cingular. I dont talk on phones much since i work in a call center all day.

Im using a ZTE hotspot with HSPA+42 and my N7

You keep saying these words. I do not think you understand what these words mean. ;)
