Infuse Indicator LED??

Can you setup the Infuse LED's to blink when you have an email, text, etc???

Thanks!!!

Hello and Welcome to the boards! Of course you can set up the Blinking LED to blink any color of your choice for whichever applications will notify you.

But theres a problem.

The Infuse doesnt have an LED. :P So ummmmm, Nope. Cant be done :(

lol Welcome!

Awwww Thanks for the tease.

Well that kinda sucks huh...

I really got used to that feature on my droid, that way I could glance at the phone and know I had a msg waiting.

So I take it there is no way to work around this???

Thanks

Well it does have an LED. just not one meant for notification.

I suppose someone could write an app to flash the camera LED periodically as a means of notification. Might be a tad bright, but....

Is there a battery hit for running this?

I've noticed no additional battery drain that I would attribute to it.

Thanks for the Noled suggestion.
It seems to be working fine and doing what I needed.

I also do not see a battery drain. I have been using it for 3 days now.
THANX!!

thanks for this, the reviews kinda slammed it. please post up if you see any negative issues in the next couple days.

In the Android Market, a few reviewers mentioned battery drain on a tablet, but I did not see anything about phones.

I installed Noled and experienced a ridiculously battery drain; like 20% an hour on stand by. Also, I was having problems waking the phone up from sleep. I figured coming from an iPhone I never had a LED indicator so I don't need it. Uninstalled it and problem fixed.

Ran the NoLed all day today. Took the phone off the charger at 6am and now at 8pm I am at like 35%. Not bad for 14 hrs. Played with it the phone a bit today as well. I have see no extra drain from the NoLed app.

Then maybe it was not the Noled app but my problems seem to have been resolved when I uninstalled it. Also, the screen was unresponsive when I would get notifications. I mean to wake up the phone from sleep.

I use an app called easy reminder. What it does is it makes notification sounds when you have a missed call or text. You pick the sound and the interval.

Best of all, it's free.:D

I would be interested to know if my app (Light Flow Lite - on the android market) works on the infuse for flashing the camera flash.
Taking control of the flash needs to be set up in the general settings menu and then hopefully you can set from the list which apps you would like the camera flash to flash for.

It's been tested on HTC phones and a Nexus S, but it'd be great to know if it worked for other samsung phones.
