Initial Setup Questions

So I have the new S6. It, as well as the old S5 are hooked up to the WiFi network I have in my place. I signed into my gmail account and only my contacts were migrated to my new phone. None of my apps were sync'ed to the new phone.

Any idea what I have to do?

Samsung recommends using its app Smart Switch from Play Store. Install it on old phone then follow instructions.

Have you signed in to the Google Play Store yet? Also I believe you have to enable backup on the s5 in order for it to do your Apps. The Smart Switch works well. I think if you go to the app store on your PC you can push your apps or share them with your other device as well.

I had the same problem. I just factory reset and it worked right the second time around.

Does anyone know if my contacts will come over from my iPhone 6 when I activate my S6? Is there something I need to do first? Thanks.

You can try the app "Bump" or simply save your contacts to the sim or other Att app.
