Initial thoughts

Well imagine coming from the Note 9. The shrinking of the bezels are dramatic in comparison. Add to that dated look of the camera setup on the back of the Note 9 compared to the beauty of the 10+. That's just the aesthetics and not even going into the hardware and software improvements. The point is people need to temper their expectations if coming from a device Samsung introduced 6 months ago.
Definitely , I was comparing it to my Note 9 the other day , just feels like a different device .

Where did you find the apk?
I have found the upgrade to be fine so far coming from the Note 9, fingerprint sensor works fine, almost too good if I'm honest and looking at some reviewers saying it's slow and lethargic well mine isn't that's for sure.
It has been used constantly since I opened the box about 5pm today updating apps etc after smart switch, I haven't taken many photo's yet but plenty of time for that. I set the face unlock to try it but went back to fingerprint scan, it just feels more secure.

Samsung Dex is working fine, I have it running on one of my other monitors while typing this, use your Note 9 charge cable (USB-C to USB-A) for this if you have no other specific cable and the 25 watt charger is great, I was pretty impressed with how fast it went from 45% to 85% so no need for me to get that 45watt charger.

I have left the screen protector on that Samsung fitted, it looks good so we'll see how it fares over the coming weeks/months and the Samsung Protective Standing Cover fits great.

When I upgraded from the Note 8 to the Note 9 last year I had that constant feeling that I had made a mistake and should have held on to that phone, but this year I have no such thoughts, I'm a happy chappy!

Cons.... Its a shame we didn't get a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle in the box for people with existing 3.5mm headphones (me included) after they removed the jack.
It's also a bit shabby of Samsung not including the 3D scan option from initial setup, I had to go hunting for the APK as it wasn't installed on my phone like many others, not a dealbreaker but still.

I think personally having come from a Galaxy s10 it's not much of a upgrade but previously a Note user from the Galaxy Note 2 it is night and day difference. There are so many case scenarios that I can see myself using the S pen.

It is an awesome device for those all in for the productivity side of the Galaxy phones but definitely not recommended if you just want a great phone sans the S pen.

Personally I don't think I will be going back to the regular Galaxy series.

Note power all the way 💪

Just got mine yesterday and just like every other Note I've owned, I love it.

I haven't used DeX on my Note 10 yet but anticipate it will work as well as the S8 did. I was able to work from home via VPN while handling phone calls and text messages from the phone and DeX.

This note has changed my opinion of Samsung it's so beautiful to look at and smooth to use everyday. This device has lagged once yet and it's very fast. One UI is also awesome no need to change launcher at this time.

I went from the Note 5 to an S10 seven weeks ago. It was my first "non-Note" phone in 7 years. I was never able to get past the size of the S10, it was just two small. I jumped on the trade in as soon as it was announced. I am loving my Aura Glow 256 GB unlocked (on Sprint) Note 10+. Yes that back side is a finger print magnet, but I have it in a clear case which really shows off the amazing ever changing color. It's fast. Battery longevity is decent. Screen is sharp with vibrant colors. I am still discovering everything it can do! But I am in love with it! :)

It is definitely not the biggest jump when they practically eliminated the headphone jack, didnt give us the 855+ snapdragon, different alignment for the power button and a meager upgrade on the camera....Now I'm not telling any person how they should spend their loot all I'm saying is its not the biggest jump as far as an upgrade it feels more like a update!

I Pick mine up from my local Samsung Experience Store on Friday.

I'll be using the Samsung Black Leather Case along with a dbrand Black Dragon back skin and a Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector when one becomes available to buy.
My white Stone cracked from 3". It's thin and essentially worthless. And they refused to send me a new one without paying TEN dollars to ship a new one

So far I'm living my 10+. Samsung actually fixed the 2 main issues I had with my S10. Proximity sensor and fps are much improved. Plus the glow color is pretty awesome.

I see difference between the thinking of Note users (based on their upgrade history dedicated to note seris most of the time) and non-Note users (Just switching because there is a new kid on the block) when buying a new phone. Non-Note users see regular stuff (like camera, fps location, headphone jack etc), but note users talk about under the hood improvements (productivity centric) as the reason for upgrade like UFS 3.0, Dex integration, Note improvements (converting to text, searching in written notes), RAM for multitasking etc. Ofcourse we all know other things are improved by default after following an S-series and so not much stress on them.

Each of us are correct in our own way when buying a phone, but from the conversatios in this forum, this is the thing I understood when someone said they like a phone and when someone said they didn't like a phone. Just writing down my observations. No offence.

I'm happy to be back on the Note... I stopped at Note 4... I'm coming from the S10+.. Both great phones IMO.. I like the square design better although a little bit tougher at beginning to use one handed.. All the one hand stuff works good though.. No phone is perfect but this phone is blazing fast and handles everything you throw at it.. peeps should be happy with it.

I think you nailed it. No right or wrong. I just can't understand why someone is buying the Note if you don't use or are going to complain about the things it focuses on. There are too many other phones, Samsung or otherwise that focus on other features that may be more important to someone.

Back in the Note 2 days, you might buy the Note just for the size even if you didn't use the pen. Not many other choices. Now though? Get a device that focuses on your needs.

On the topic of the Note 10+ though, I'm really enjoying it. I think I actually prefer the button set up this way compared to the Note 9. Didn't at first.

Some very good points being made in this thread, both from a positive and negative perspective.

I will add, often I see comments about the power button. But, the question I have is, how often, if ever, does one even turn off their mobile? So, does it really matter the side the power button is on?

I'ts not about turning the phone off. It's about turning the screen off. I literally hit the power button to turn the screen on/off dozens of times per day.

I think it depends on what phone a person is moving from to the Note 10 phones.

Personally I've moved from a Note 9 so the Note 10+ 5G is an incremental update for me.

However I'm very happy with it..

As always, a note is more than the sum of its parts. I came from a n9 as my daily driver.

Great upgrade and will work well getting abused every day. Wouldn't want to go back to my 9 as a daily now.

She is fast and pretty.

At the Sprint Store yesterday I traded my Note 9 (Very good phone, loved it) for the Note 10+

I had the Note 9 out of the case and hand weighed both phones and I was able to easily detect that the N10+ was much lighter and while they were on the table transfering my files to the new N10+ side by side you could see that the new phone was thinner as well.

I highly recommend peeps with a new N10 or N10+ watch this video.

Same guy had the same type video for the N9 I watched a year ago.

Impressions:
I got the Aura and while I know I need a case (Sammy makes some slippery phones when they are naked) man that Aura back looks awesome. So I might be in the market for a clear case.

I have played with the new toys like 3d scanning and AR doodle. Fun, will play with them more.

The N9 has a great screen but the N10+ just down right pops out at you. Corner to corner and I have to say the front camera hole does not bother me. I happened to have all the Band of Brothers on my SD card so I watched a few minutes and the upgrade in speakers really showed and again the screen on the N10+ just looks amazing.

I have missed having the fingerprint sensor in the front......its back baby and it is working great!

Sammy Sense UI seems snappy no complaints. I have a set of over the ear (I never liked ear buds) BT headphones so I am not concerned with the lack of a headphone jack.

I will have to get used to the power button being moved. I have caught myself several times pressing the imaginary button on the right. The good news, the button is easily programmable. I figure that within a week I will forget about the button move.

Still setting the phone up the way I want. But so far 1st impressions is....

"I will enjoy this phone as much as I enjoyed the Note 9"

Thanks for this! This will be my first Note device... infact my first time being in the Samsung ecosystem lol. I'm coming from Google. I'm so used to stock Android. This will be a new experience. Samsung UI has improved and come a long way but I still prefer the Pixel UI. Anyway, I'm going to have some fun tweaking and putting themes on this. Can't wait.

Both UI's are almost the same IMO.
