Initializing Android Auto on my phone

So I have had Android Auto working with my HU and phone since I bought the 4100NEX about a month ago. Im using a Verizon Galaxy S5 and I know it has voice command problems. I saw someone post in another thread on here that installed an APK rather than from the App Store, so I uninstalled Android Auto and did just that. Worst mistake I could make I guess.

After getting the Android Auto app reinstalled I can not for the life of me get my phone to let me accept the terms and conditions to get the app to work. When I plug my phone into the HU, it takes about a minute then when the HU attempts to launch Android Auto and the phone tries to launch the app, my home screen on my phone just flashes and directs right back to my home screen.

All I need is the prompt that has me hit accept for the T's & C's and allows the bluetooth access, but my phone will just not allow it. If I hit the recent apps button it has the process there titled "Android Auto" but again if I select it my phone just directs right back to my home screen.

I have tried switching the parking brake back and forth, even though it's not even giving me that prompt because the app isn't even getting that far.

I factory reset my phone, I factory reset my HU. I don't know what else to try.

I'm hoping someone else on here has either encountered the same issue or at least has some insight.

Make sure the "Only connect to known cars" checkbox is un-checked.

And also hit the "Forget all cars" option.

Unfortunately I have tried that along with any other basic troubleshooting. The problem seems to be more operating system related as my phone attempts to but will not launch the "Accept Terms and Conditions" prompt when attaching to my 4100NEX.

The frustrating part is that it was able to when I first bough the unit and has been working just fine since, and not even a full factory restore is fixing the problem.

So I cleared all Google Play Services data and I now actually get a prompt on my phone. Although it's not the prompt I'd like...

I am getting this error on my Verizon Galaxy S5...does anybody know how to fix it?
