i injured my hand/thumb so i can't really hold a cellphone for too long. may i ask if anyone knows of the "best" device to help hold a phone? i.e. those ring types of things or those pop up types of things.

the requirement, however, is that i need to be able to continue to use the wireless charging pads:

i use one at my desk for during the day, and i use one on my night stand for the nights.

thank you in advance. look forward to your suggestions, recommendations. much appreciated.

I am not sure if anything works where you can still wireless charge. I would like to know the answer too. I had this ring on one of my cases didn't work. I know you can't with a popsocket cause I am getting 2 cases one with a popsocket and another to use for wireless charging. I keep 2 cases but I would only need one if I could find something to use to hold the phone while taking video at concerts and to use as a kickstand plus be able to wireless charge that would be great.

I can confirm the newest version of the popsocket works on the Note 9 for wireless charging. The round disc/pop piece twists off. You would still have the plastic piece on your case to hold it, so when you are done charging just twist the disc/pop piece back on. Hopefully that made sense. I just don't care for how obtrusive it is (to me).

Anyway, hopefully this new model would work the same on the S10.

@French: thanks for the update.
May i ask if there's a chance to see a picture of how it looks on the back of your phone please? Thanks.

Remove the phone from its' case to charge? Should be pretty easy unless you have those 360 covers.

@Dimas et al:

i actually don't use a case on my phones. maybe one day i'll have to, but thus far, i'm ok without using a case.

i've done more research since my initial post:

- in terms of comfort AND ability to do wireless charging, the popsockets seem to win, because the newer generation of the popsockets are able to be removed with great ease, seemingly, leaving ONLY the base plate (very thin!) on the phone. while the base plate is not attractive, merely a thin round plastic disk, it is sufficiently thin that wireless charging is said to be able to be done.

- in terms of least stain to the hand, the rings seem to take the prize, at least according to many comments online. i don't know because i've never had to use (or chosen to use) these devices.

now that i have to use them, the folks who mentioned that the rings are more secure with less effort (ring is not allowing the phone to go too far, whereas the popsockets require a squeeze of your fingers to keep the phone secure, so they say) do say that the rings are easier to use because once the rings are on your finger, there is minimal effort to keep the phone from going anywhere!

this sounds like it can be a potential plus. the downside is that one never knows if the METAL base plate for these rings might interfere with the wireless charging?

I have a ring on one of my cases for my 9 plus. The girl who put my Zagg protector on sold it to me and put it on for 10 bucks. It didn't wireless charge my phone. I want the new pop socket which I've never even used one before. Can you get the newest ones on Amazon?

Where did you order yours from or does Best Buy have the new ones that is where I am getting my phone at?
