Inner Screen Protector

So I previously posted about my inner screen protector starting to peel at the top. It progressively got worse. To the point where it was all the way down the phone. I contacted Samsung. They told me to go to UbreakIfix since it was the closest Samsung certified replacement. I dropped it off. They informed me about two hours. They called, told me while taking it off it got scratched and they went through four screen protectors in the process. They had to replace the entire screen, back, and hinge. I'm not mad at the facility. It's just kind of frustrating bc I have babied this phone. Never had to get one fixed. They told me it was pretty common. Hope it's an isolated incident. Just a heads up!

I, too, replaced my inner screen protector about 3 months ago because it had a small scratch. None of the Chicago land places that I called would replace it so I sent it in to Samsung. They peeled it partially off then sent it back in worse condition than when I sent it in! I couldn't believe it. So I sent it in again and they replaced it (for $20). The whole process took about 3 weeks.

So that's another brutal experience........

I was nervous I'd screw it up. I know there is a certain way to take it off without damaging the display.

Mine has just failed up the centre today.

I've looked at various points of sale for the Whitestone Dome screen protectors but it seems only the film type is currently available.

The glass i.e silk version seems to be not available in the UK.

I can't see it on Whitestone Domes website either.

I'm thinking Whitestone have recalled the product or they've discontinued it.

I'll keep the protector on in the meantine until it fails further or spoils the overall user experience of using the inner screen.

Just put it on like a normal screen protector(precision needed to apply it right on top of the built in screen protector) ... But i removed the inner protector as it was showing this vertical line right in the middle.

The steps process from WSD is very well made. Take your time if you plan on doing one.

I really love this phone, but I really hate this inner screen protector. My second factory screen protector is starting to come off at the crease again.... they really need to fix this design

I'm not sure why mine has now done this twice. I'm not hard on my devices at all.
