Seems I may have an insensitive spot of screen on lower right. It is where the 'done' key of the keyboard is, Or the most lower right app icon. So after I type a PIN in the lock screen, I press 'done' and many times it does not register. (I tested the spen in that area and it is fine). I did have Verizon put on a Verizon screen protector in store prior to using phone so I never tested without that protector.
Experience with this? Possible likely cause and fix? Thoughts, suggestions?

I use a neo flex protector and swift keyboard and I noticed I had problems with the responsiveness of the left side of the keyboard entries a few times but it has been hard to reproduce consistently. Throwing this out there in case there are others that have noticed this. I do not know what might be causing the issue.

It's the crappy protector.

Do you have a case on it that have magnets in it ?

I have a spigen ultra hybrid s case with magnetic kickstand, but the magnet (that attracts the free end of the kickstand) seems on the left side and higher up Than my insensitive spot on the lower right. Also the spen seemed to show No screen dead spots.

It's the protector. There's an air gap between the screen and protector that kills sensitivity.

If true, will Verizon re-apply it for me ?
Or one can't really re-apply well ; one-shot-on-goal ?
How does Verizon handle this?

It's not a problem with application, it's a problem with the design. Glass protectors do not work well on curved screens.

How about a non-glass protector? Are those any good? Can you post a recommended link to one?

Update I swapped screen protector from Verizon Wireless to Zapp, and seems to have solved touch problem (though only tested for a few hours); Verizon admitted Zapp working better than their own brand for the N8 specifically (now with almost 2 months experience for them)
But now Zapp may have a rainbow effect (esp. on dark background screen) but let me see with more time if this is a real problem or not.
I'll google this issue, but anyone having feedback on rainbow, please comment.
