I was using Instagram with no issue up until about an hour ago. For some unknown reason when trying to share posts to my stories the app would crash. I posted original content to my stories earlier this morning. I tried sharing different posts from different users and this happened repeatedly. In between attempts, I went to the settings for Google play and force quit and cleared the cache. I did this several times. I reboot did the phone and wiped the partition cache several times. I eventually decided to delete and re install Instagram hoping that would overcome the glitch. Now I cannot get Instagram to re install. I've gone through all the previous steps multiple times again, and going through the Google play store which is the only source I get this from, the app downloads 100% and then nothing happens. It doesn't install. In between the temps, I have cancelled the install in the Play Store, and force quit and cleared the cache on the Play Store app, as well as wiping the partition cache. Nothing is working. I get the 100% download and no install.

Clear cache, and force close the play store

Welcome to Android Central! Besides clearing the Play Store app's cache/data, also do it for Download Manager. To find it, go to Settings>Apps, tap Menu>Show System.

I did that so many times. Cleared the cache on the play store app and wiped the partition cache and rebooted the phone multiple times too. Eventually got IG reinstalled but when I try to share posts to my stories feed it still crashes.
