Have you checked at their site ? Android version not the problem the manufacturer of your device might not be popular

Getting information on the tablet might not be easy because it's not popular or getting other ROM on it because developers rather mess with newer ones .

Yes, but also waning.

I checked a couple of places that used to have mirrors for Phone OS. They aren't up anymore. I highly doubt there is still any support for Linux mobile. If all you want is to breathe some life into the tablet, or get some different use out of it, I think there are better ways to go about doing this.

If you only need Ubuntu access from your phone, just install a terminal emulator,
spin up an Ubuntu cloud instance from AWS, Digital Ocean etc and SSH into your server.

This way doesn't mess with your device at all and all the resources needed aren't dependent on your
phone, so you'll have speed and security.
