I keep getting "Installation aborted" when it's verifying the image when I try to update with adb sideload.
I own a stock, non-rooted, Galaxy Nexus.
Help?

You may need to root and unlock bootloader first before you can adb sideload.
Either way, do you have USB Debugging on? That might be the problem.

As far as I know, you don't need to be rooted or with the bootloader unlocked to adb sideload. :(

I do have USB debugging on.

Did you resolve this? I'm banging my head against the same issue..

I am having the same problem with my Nexus 7, I know it's the right file, debugging is on, it sends the file to the device, finds and opens the update package and then, after verifying, gives me "installation aborted". Anyone else figure it out?

Same problem both with OTA and manual. I heard it might have to do with the kernel. I updated to that Franco kernel but not sure how to get back to stock kernel. Not sure if it's worth it but I really wanted to update to 4.3 Please help.
