Instant Alerts Question

Another silly newbie question. I don't seem to be getting my instant updatesvfrom CNN, etc. Am I'm missing something in my setup or does my S5 not allow instant updates. Thank you for answering all my newbie questions

check to see if Notifications for CNN is enabled. Verify that the settings for CNN are as you want them to be. If so, then turn them all off, then turn them back on. Then restart the phone. The update to 4.4.4 did a lot of strange things for alerts. you have to disabled, reset them, restart the phone again.

check to see if data is on, or WiFi is enabled. Whichever is appropriate.

The internet has to be accessible all the time.
