Insufficient storage (4.4.2)

This is happening more since Kit Kat. I can't update apps, can't download apps despite having half a gig of free internal and 60 on SD. I even deleted a 1 GB app and phone still says insufficient storage (it never updated how much free space it's got)

Edit: maybe the app wasn't a gig. I'll never know if it properly updated available storage, but it seems to think I have no room to put anything else (not even a 7 mb app

If you haven't already, try restarting the device and see if that gives it a refresh.

No most likely he just deleted the app not the sub folders it's like deleting part of a virus off a computer you can delete the infected file but you gotta search for the sub folders to fully get rid of it I suggest es file explorer to dig through your saved folders

I used the uninstall option. Dies that not get rid of it all or does it leave a bunch of stuff behind like Windows does? Why don't these software coders make their stuff clean up after itself

No it gets rid of the app which is mostly 4 mb the secondary download is in a different folder
