Insurance claim on broken screen

So I pretty much shattered my Evo's screen the other day. I viewed the Youtube videos on how to replace it and I really think there's no way I could do it myself based on the condition of the screen and my own tendency to screw those sort of things up.

I have Sprint's insurance, but on eBay right now is a cracked Evo going as-is for close to $100. So I'm wondering, would it be worth it for me to claim the insurance saying I lost my Evo and then sell my cracked one on eBay to recoup some of the $100.

I know it's not the most ethical of things to do, but I just really can't afford that $100 deductible right now.

If you report it as lost the ESN will reflect that. Nobody would be able to activate the phone.
