I currently have the equipment protection plan from sprint and was wondering if I went to best buy and renewed my contract with them do I need to get insurance from BB or does my insurance roll over? And can i continue to take the phone to a sprint store if a problem would occure or do i have to take it to BB because that's where i bought the phone from?

Is it a new phone? Cause then you get your pick. I'd use Best Buy ;) They've stepped up their game. But if Sprint is already charging you, keep it there. But you can cancel and switch to the Best Buy one. My question for you is. Is it worth it? I want to buy it but am not sure.

BB has the OG for $99 vs $199 from Sprint. yes, it will be worth it. But the question is can i still take it to a sprint store if i had problems with it, being that i had bought the phone from BB?

Only if you have their plan. I think BB would handle it all. But, ask them if you buy it from them.

Absolutely you can take it to sprint if you purchased from best buy I have done it multiple times....now my questions is best buys insurance better...insurance through sprint is a 200 deductible for this baby and 11 a month....

I've never had to pay a deductible when I took my phone In for service or replacements. I currently have the HTC Arrive and I think the TEP cost is the same as the OG. Although when i had to take my phone in for a replacement it was a software issue and not a hardware issue. Could that be the reason? How much is best buys insurance and deductible?

Yes the deductible is for physical damage screen broke water etc etc

I just got my G at BB, the good thing about the Geek Squad coverage is no deductible if you need a replacement.

From my prior experience with the Sprint provided insurance, you can't go to a Sprint store except for warranty claims. Everything else has to go through their a telephone claim service.

I am currently thinking I will be going with protectmybubble.com and cancel the expensive Sprint protection plan.

Now that protectmybubble site seems awesome. I can't get BB insurance since I purchased through Sprint i think. Is there anything similar in the USA?

That site is good in the US. I have my other phone insured through them.
