Interesting article about Galaxy Nexus.

I sure about that. If that's the case, why even market or sell it to regular consumers at all?

You sell it to regular customers to appease enthusiasts, and to help get new developers. I'm not sure what this marketing some people keep referring to is. I haven't seen any commercials. If Google actually wanted this to be that type of phone, you would see advertising EVERYWHERE

When the Nexus One didn't do well and, they stop selling it online; the only way you could get a new one was to register as a developer. Before that, I had never heard of the nexus brand referred to as entirely a Dev phone.

I do agree with your with your point about helping new developers because, I've thought about getting into that myself.

I personally don't care about market share or how this phone competes with the Iphone. Operating a small business myself, I had wrote up a big response to you about the marketing & advertising stuff but, decided not to. Judging from your past responses, you're clearly irritated by people who are impatient about this phone (I'm one of them) and, it's not worth getting into a debate online about it IMO.

I just look forward to discussing other things about this phone with you and others when we finally do receive it (should you choose to).

The Nexus S was also considered a dev phone.

I've been involved with small businesses myself, and work for myself at this point. I won't pretend to be an advertising genius or anything, but its pretty clear Google hasn't put any weight behind the GN, or past Nexus phones.

Lol, I'm not irritated at the impatience. Its good people are so excited for it. I just think the people making up theories as to why its late, when it isn't, is a tad overboard. This article takes that to a while new level.
