intermittent touch response.

Sometimes, when I try to move an icon on the home screen, it will respond to a long touch but other times not. Twice a brief message flashed saying something about failed proximity sensor. The message was so short that I could not read the whole thing.

I am no longer sure these two issues are related.

Any thoughts?

this apparently was due to proximity when I was using it without my glasses
