Internal memory full?

I keep getting a message saying intenal memory full. I believe there are three types of memory internal (2gb), usb (11gb), and sd. Is that correct? I don't have and sd card. My internal memory is full and I can't figure out how to transfer apps to usb memory. Any time I try it says I don't have an sd card. So how do I transfer it to usb memory?

you need any ext. sd card to move the apps
