What happened to the 8GB internal storage?

i cant get my computer to recognize the internal. how are you getting yours to see it?

I cant either. When I plug it in and agree to driver installations it pops up an error message that says "there is no disk, please insert disk" with options of cancel, try again, and continue. none of the options work. Sooo.... really pissing me off cause I'm new to android and have no idea what to do.
