Internet Bookmarks not working

Hi. hope someone can help. I turned off Google+ since I didn't want it. Got error message about acora. So I decided to turn Google+ back on. Cleared cache and history. Now Internet bookmarks are not working. When I click on one of them it just takes me to google.com which is my home page. Even happens with a newly created bookmark? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I also noticed that in the address bar there is a star which I would expect and a lock. My husband's does not have a lock. Anyone know how to unlock?
