the one ive been waiting for :D

I was about to buy the prime and decided to wait till mwc. Glad i did! Getting this for sure.

I really wanted the Prime, but I held off because of the GPS/Wifi issues. This is a beast of a tablet.

any idea when it will be available for purchase here in the US?

I too was going to get the tf200 but saw it had wifi and gps problems and was waiting for a fixed version.
not only is it fixed, better screen too :-D

I believe they said Q2. So you are looking at an April, May, June time frame.

thanks.
I know this was said prior to MWC though I was hoping for a more specific release date since so many tablets are being announced. We'll just all have to keep waiting. :(

Hmmm, I had heard that the 3G version would also have the Tegra Quad Core, and that the LTE version would be dual core. Anyone else hear anything along these lines?

As for the wait, June's really not that far away. I'll feel better when we get an official date, though.

im ok with waiting a little as long as the product is unflawed, hopefully they get it right this time, personally i LOVE that they kept the spun metal finish, i was really upset when i saw the peek of the tf700t at CES, wit that horrible plastic back, very glad they kept it gorgeous.

as for which chips for which model, only the wifi version will have the Tegra 3 chip, and i believe the 3g version will have the Qualcomm chip, and then the LTE version will have the Snapdragon chip.

hopefully more of that will be cleared up in the next few weeks, as well as pricing info, really hoping for a solid price so ill know how much i need to invest.

Currently Tegra 3 will not work with LTE radios so if a tablet has LTE it won't have Tegra 3 at this time. The wifi version will have the Tegra 3 and the 3G/LTE versions will have a the new dual core Snapdragon S4.

This will probably be my next tablet, just hoping its not too hard to get like the previous Asus tablets have been.

Might have to complain to Asus about my current Prime once this gets released..."I DEMAND AN UPGRADE!" haha

those prices are from january, while im not saying to throw them out the window completely, with the slew of new tablets just announced it would be wise to just wait for an official announcement to confirm prices for the future tablets.

Hmm if Iwere to get this tablet would it be replacement to a laptop? (my thoughts are no but I wanna hear your opinions)

that all depends on what you use your laptop for, essentially tablets are just media devices, so if youre looking into productivity, there are a handfull of apps that will allow you to do some work, but wont most likely replace your laptop.

I was debating on the lapdock for my droid but this might be the winner. I thought about the lapdock since it uses my phones data but then I remember why I wanted the lapdock and it was for flights for me to watch movies and listen to music and play games. Which my phone can do but this can do it better/faster/smoother. I will also have no data in an airplane.
I have thought about the iPad3/HD/2S (whatever the name of the new one) but no flash is a big no-no for me. I was in europe for 3 weeks using my iphone (work phone) and I hated not having flash for a lot of the sites I go to. I didn't realize how much I needed flash until those 3 weeks..

Anyone know if you can preorder this anywhere?

@ArtVandelay:

We'd all love to know.

@Asus:

Asus, your job is easy, just simply fill in the blank.

"We, also referred to as Asus, are releasing the TF700 on March ___, 2012"
