I dont think Best Buy knows how many each store is getting!! They have promised over and over that VZW will have enough for ppl, but that does not mean Best Buy will!!!

Even despite the Incredible debacle, BestBuy (or at least my local store) retained 10 Incredibles above what they committed to pre-orders for walk-ins, so I was able to get one that morning.

My Local verizon store opens up at 9. I normally get to work @ 7:30 ish. I'll prolly go check it out @ 8 and see if the store is busy or not. if its looking slow. I'll go by and get some breakfast till they open @ 9.

the dude at my local corporate store told me when I went in on Friday that they expect to be getting a ****-ton of X's on launch day to avoid another DInc debacle.

So I just called my local Verizon store to confirm my appointment at 8 am tomorrow...apparently my store is the only one in like a 75 mile radius that is opening at 6 am so people are driving from all over to get it! But basically she told me that from 6-9 you can only come in if you have an appointment and that they are only scheduling appointments for the amount of X's they have in stock so I am guaranteed a phone...so stoked! My recommendation to all is call your local stores and make an appointment...good luck X hunters!

I got a call from BB saying that I would have to wait until next week because they only had like 5 devices come in (WTF). Anyway, I called my VZW store and they said it's first come first serve starting at 9AM tomorrow.

"Verizon Says No Droid X Shortage Thursday"

For anyone that was still wondering about stock.

Good news for those salivating for the Droid X; Verizon says there will be no shortage for the much anticipated phone. Launch day for Motorola's Droid X is Thursday, and despite long delays for the HTC Droid Incredible, Verizon insists retail shoppers and those who pre-ordered the Droid X will not be disappointed. Several Websites are reporting that individual Verizon Wireless stores have indicated ample stock. Verizon spokesperson told CNET that it has "done everything possible to ensure we have inventory to meet customer needs."
