Did you see the new iOS 5 feature that allows mobile file downloads via browser. What does this remind you of.

Every smartphone besides the iPhone. I remember my Palm Treo 700 was able to do that as well as my BB and now my Android.

My problem is the elitism that Apple has created. People literally think they are better than you because they have Apple hardware. People will forgo eating, clothes, sleeping, HAVING A KIDNEY, for Apple products. That's ridiculous.

This is EXACTLY my problem with a lot of Apple users. It really grinds me gears that a lot of people think that being an Apple user makes them smarter, more creative, sexier, what have you. When Apple used to tout that they didn't have virus problems, that wasn't because of a superior OS, that was because of market share.

I will say that due to their marketing machine, it allows them to sell products at top dollar and not have to settle for the eMachines budget PCs in the market. Having tight control over your hardware and software does make it easier to minimize problems.

To anyone that still thinks that Apple computers are optimized for multimedia, take a look at the specs. They are just higher end PC components. . .

Yes , they got the "Notification tray" form Android , but Apple's Notification Center is way ahead of Android's sad & ugly Notification tray

It looks good until you see it on a phone. The "widgets" are ugly and not very useful. You are completely unaware you even have notifications unless you actually check notification center because unlike android it doesn't show icons in the status bar. I don't know if it's iOS 5 I don't like, or if I just need to get away from iOS in general. To me, iOS is more patching holes then break through features. I really don't like how they added ANOTHER store to my homescreen that I can't delete. I like the way they handled newspapers and magazines, but I really don't see why they couldn't have incorporated it into iBooks. Also, iCloud is something android/google was doing since the beginning. Also kind of disappointed that they don't offer a streaming service.

They did blatantly copy android but they did make some improvements.. Android should make some as well... Like webOS you should be able to dismiss a single notification in your trey and leave others..

The stock OS needs to implement this. Cyanogen mod has this feature built in. Very good feature.

Ios 5 isnt bad. Its actually quite nice. Although it is a complete copy of android it brings an Apple side to it. You can't sit there and fanboy without actually trying it. Though i do agree with the whole debate between Apple and samsung

I agree there are some similarities with iOS 5 and whats already been out before iOS 5. But I think what gets under ppl's skin is like what some have mentioned, the Apple, iPhone fanboys and the copying, Apple created the world pedestal they be on.

All fanboyism sucks, but there is something a lil special about Apple, iPhone ones. lol

What Apple did with the notifications is what its supposed to be about and what they are good at: improving on existing technology.

Some folks just need to give Android at least a lil credit too for what it brings to the table in the smartphone game.

Steve Jobs claiming "2011 is the year of the copycats"....is gonna be yet another classic quote from him...lol

Apple copy Android....and people are surprised? I have several Macs but still don't consider the iPhone. On my second Android device and think it worlds better and will continue to improve. How could it not with this many smart people trying to improve the product.
