Android system draining battery.. the top user is iot hidden menu taking more power than the screen. Is there a quick fix for this? My battery has been running down to 30 percent and its not even 1 pm. This just started happening today

what new app did you install? go to mange applications and look in the running column. tap the item and it should show you whats using it. hit stop and uninstall the app until they fix it

I'm having the same exact issue & if you look "iot hidden menu" up it shows up as a key-code for service industry people to check all of the main features of the phone, but it's not supposed to be enabled all of the time& you have to dial the code to get into it every time still.
It's not an app-related issue it's got to be a system error because I'd never dialed the code until I saw it taking up all my cpu/mem &looked it up, what I didn't find was anything about how to disable it/make it inactive again...

Rebooting lowers all memory and battery hog issues temporarily.
This one returns and grows over time.
I have the same problem, but it's affecting memory usage also.
Three processes have the exact same memory usage ALL the time.
I find that odd.

Mike,
Assuming that you're using Settings -> Application manager -> Running to get this information on running processes, I don't see any of the 3 apps that you listed shown in my list.
- if you're using a different app let me know and I'll give it a try
- do you normally have Bluetooth enabled?
Too bad there's not a way to export that list so we could see what's common and eliminate those from consideration.
