iPad 2 shames xoom in graphics

Haha. Relax there pal. Maybe we can get a real discussion going on. I'd like to hear from those who know more about this.

My samsung tab has better graphics then my xoom...the screen on the xoom really sucks for the price

Our Xooms come with an Nvidia geoforce GPU built on the tegra2. We are also running a new OS with a very new OpenGL API. Not to mention an app for benchmarking should be constructed with with the new-ish NDK (native development kit) instead of running in a virtual machine.

I'm not discounting the results but we need to know more about the app and method of testing used.

LoL, this guy was calling me a troll prior to release because I would comment in a thread about thining the lack of SD Cad Workinf, Flash, 4G LTE and the price were a problem.

Then this guy starts his own thread in this forum about the iPad2 graphics. Classic....

Where is the ignore button?

Obv. The ipad2 is going to get a better GPU score with a benchmark program since its screen resolution is significantly less that the xoom

The $800 Xoom with all those flawless is not a good buy. The $500 iPad is a win right now....
Apple is gonna win 2011 unless MOTO, LG, Samsung, and dell (price is right, quality sucks) get it right....

Sent from my $250 rooted Nook Color.

Could you go a bit more into what you mean? I'm not as knowledgable on what was used to determine the mentioned article.

Like I said I have to pass myself on a tab that has that kind of quality control. Doesn't matter what it's capable of if you have to watch it thru a screen like that....and I thought the Xoom screen was unimpressive. Any kind of bleeding like that would drive me nuts.

I agree. It would be unacceptable. I'm lucky I didn't get a unit that is displaying this. Some are reporting that it might also be linked to the bonding glue that is used and how it isn't dried yet. I don't know much about it though.
