Ok first off, I love gadgets. I have done the crackberry, winmo and for the past 3 years ATT and the iPhone. The main attraction for me is the tethering and the fact using a buddies Overdrive unit for a few weeks showed me how well Sprint coverage is vs 3 years ago. Much better than ATT for where I work and travel.

So in my conversion the 4G aspect here in the Kansas City metro seems to be well on it's way to being fully deployed. Since KC is a smaller city, I'm expecting good results and hopefully little congestion on the 4G network.

So... My question is in moving from the iPhone 3GS which I carry a lot of media such as pics and music is this going to be possible to sync photos and videos in iTunes with the EVO?

I have heard of double twist, does this sync all types of media or just music?

I read another post related to iCal syncing with google calendar so that solves that, but also curious about moving over contact from MobileMe to the Evo? I assume it possible, just looking for some pointers.

Are there any real restrictions I'll run into that the EVO won't be able to do that I've done in the past? I plan on accessing my MobileMe email on my iPad as I use it for work anyhow, the EVO as a hotspot will be very nice addition to keep me connected at high speed! (I hope!)

I guess the bottom line question is the EVO and the MobileMe/iPad combo going to cause me any issues outside the email situation? Which I am willing to deal with as I never use my current iPhone for email now anyhow. I think the larger screen of the EVO and the better speed and coverage may lean me back to using a smartphone more often but I realize there are some issues to resolve.

Please mention any issues I may have missed. I really hope to move to Sprint and give Android a shot. Thanks in advance for any suggestions and assistance.

Look into a program called missing sync for Android. Will solve all of your issues.
