Iphone4 vs Droid incredible review. I have both.

I was not arguing that the iphone was better because it has better battery life. Keep in mind my android actually does because I have a 3500mah battery. I'm just saying stock the iphone gets amazing battery life and I thought it was a pretty cool feature. The size of it isn't huge according to those websites but I guess it's just the IOS.

When the iphone5 comes out, if they were to have it on verizon, start adding widgets like android, and make a notifications bar like android I would probably prefer it hands down.

Anyway, again I've found myself doing different things with each phone. Web browsing, I go to my droid, GPS I go to my droid, phone calls it depends. Text messaging, I haven't used the droid for a while now. I use the iphone. The iphone keyboard is simply light years away imo.

I liked the keyboard I had on the motorola droid a lot better than I do the Dinc keyboard though. So, you can get different android keyboards. This is all just stock I'm talking about.

Overall though it seems Android has come a long way. Because I prefer the Android in a lot of ways. And it can do much more than the iphone.

But there is something about the way the iphone is laid out and just how easy it is and the experience I get with it that makes me want to use it most of the time for texting or apps.

I've read some bad reviews on the push content the iphone has vs the blackberry. But in my experience the push content with the apps and mail work pretty good.

If the droid could get full push content for apps and not just gmail then that's another thing that would set it over the top.

If you look at a lot of the you tube VS videos of the iphone vs dinc they all pretty much say, the droid wins, The droid can do more, it wins. But then the reviewer always says, "But I prefer to use the iphone most of the time."

And I don't think that has anything to do with the iphone being "cooler" or more main stream. I think it's just the overall way it's laid out. If you're doing something really quick you reach for the iphone a lot of times.

The iphone seems to be way less glitchy too.

Anyway, I tried some cases out and decided to go with just a pouch for when it's in my pocket. I do have a screen protector on both my Dinc and iphone4. But I don't have cases for either one of them. It seems like cases add bulk and take the sexiness away from the phone and I hate that. I love the way the iphone feels when I talk it out of my pocket and turn it on to use something. When I had it in a case it didn't feel the same. And the case made it look more like the old Iphone.

I don't plan on using the bumper either. Because the antenna issue is really easy to avoid once you know it's there. I find it not being a problem at all.

Main problem with AT&T, I know quite a few people back in my home town who have the iphone, including my ex girlfriend and they've never seen what 3G is like on the iphone. Because AT&T only has 3G in big cities mostly. People who have the droids on Verizon can do all this stuff and the iphone people can't. And they all claim that they don't care. That 3G isn't important. Well, if it's not important to you then why do you have a phone that can do all of that?

Anyway, after multi-tasking more with the iphone 4 it does seem that they do have that down a lot better than a lot of the reviews I read said they did. It seems most of the apps have now had updates since the release of the iphone 4 when most of the reviews were done to add multi-tasking.

At first I said the droid multi tasked BETTER than the iphone4. But now after getting used to it, I actually thing the iphone4 does. Because you have the ability to go back to apps or paused games or whatever it is much faster and you have the ability to close out the stuff you aren't using anymore instead of waiting for the OS to decide when it's time to close it for you.

Also, I'm sure theres a way but I couldn't figure out anyway to make album folders in the photos app without hooking it into my macbook pro and going to iphoto and doing it. A lot of the stuff has to be done via a computer. And I know a lot of people with smart phones who actually don't even own a computer. The iphone is one of those things you need a computer to really have one.

And I disagree that bars don't matter. Because the bars seem to be accurate. If I have 1 bar my call quality is nowhere near what it is with 3 bars. But the bars stay pretty high most places I go with AT&T it's just the the 3G is only in the big city I live in and that's it. As soon as I drive out of it, it's gone.

The 3G is never gone with Verizon. So, I don't think I'll be dropping my Verizon account or Droid anytime soon.

Now if only someone on Verizon builds a droid that looks as good as the iphone and feels as good in my hands I'll be in love. Oh and the screen on the iphone, AMAZING.

I had an iPhone 3G before I switched to Verizon. I liked the phone, but AT&T unreliable service was the keypoint that made me switch. Verizon's 3G service is a lot lot better. I've read a lot of posts about people getting dropped calles with the "Dinc", but at least for me (Austin, TX) the Dinc works a lot better than my old iPhone. So at least in regards to service providers, I don't plan to go back to AT&T (I was a customer for about 8 years).

The iPhone 4 is a lot better phone than the iPhone 3G I had. Better battery life and a much nicer display. However, the simulated or limited capability for running apps in the background (with the iOS 4 update) never really served my purposes (I do a lot of multitasking on my phone). I know there is a lot of "hoopla" about the front facing camera, but I actually don't feel a need for it...I don't use the camera that much. Even if there is an iPhone4 or a 4G/LTE capable coming out in the future for Verizon, I still like my Droid Incredible better. Yes, the battery doesn't last as long as the iPhone, but the Dinc does a lot more than the iPhone so you'll definitely get the battery to drain faster. With rooting, custom Kernel, and setCPU I can get a good full day with heavy usage....so all in all I'm satisfied with the battery life of the Dinc.

OP, thanks for your review! Cheers!!!
